ALROSA sells rough and polished diamonds worth USD 257.6 million in August

ALROSA Group, the world leader in diamond production, announces diamond sales results for August and eight months of 2017.
In August 2017, ALROSA Group sold USD 257.6 million worth of rough and polished diamonds. Rough diamond sales by value amounted to USD 255.7 million, polished diamond sales – USD 1.9 million.
In January–August 2017, ALROSA’s rough and polished diamond sales amounted to USD 3.047 billion. Rough diamonds were sold for USD 2.983 billion, polished diamonds – for USD 64.2 million.
"August is traditionally low season for trading. This year was no exception, although sales volumes in August were slightly higher than a year earlier", ALROSA Vice President Yury Okoyomov said.
