Spectacular jewellery presentation at IIJW 2017 in Mumbai

The 7th edition of the India International Jewellery Week (IIJW 2017) saw some spectacular presentations by well-known names from the jewellery industry, CaratLane, Azva and PC Jewellers. The event, held on September 23-24, 2017 at St. Regis, Mumbai, was presented by The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), powered by the Gemmological Institute of America (GIA); and co-partnered by Forevermark and Platinum Guild International.
Speaking at the event, Praveenshankar Pandya, Chairman, GJEPC, said, “In sync with the Prime Minister’s vision of showcasing the best of Indian creativity and craftsmanship to global customers, IIJW is an initiative to showcase the finest in indigenous Make In India jewellery. IIJW is an extravaganza, a celebration and a bonanza for jewellery lovers who can get a sneak preview of the most extraordinary, exquisite and extravagant collections for this festive season.”

Day One of the IIJW featured the special Inaugural Show presented by Nakshatra World, followed by CaratLane presentation of the crisp, well-edited line of jewellery called ‘Bombay Deco’. PC Jeweller Ltd. closed the day with a grand final show with its wedding collection, as well as a presentation of a unique detachable jewellery brand for youthful trendsetters.
A number of stunning jewellery collections presented in regal style took centre stage on the second and final day by six fresh talented designers from the Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery, Mumbai.
At the Laksh Pahuja jewellery show, presented by Gemma and HRD Antwerp, under the theme “Patriotism, Peace and Passion”, the designer showcased eleven specially created pieces that were unbelievable visions of beauty inspired by icons in India including Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Lata Mangeshkar, Vishwanathan Anand, R K Laxman, Mary Kom and others.
