Frontier Diamonds recovers 5 exceptional stones at SA mine
It said the diamonds included five exceptional stones totalling 72 carats.
The company recently recovered the first gemstones from a satellite of its main South Africa operation, the largest of which was 1.45 carats.

Meanwhile, Frontier said it achieved a throughput of 7,200 tonnes in March at Sedibeng.
It said progressive implementation of sub level retreat mining at Sidebeng expected to see throughput increase further to its targeted level of 10 000 tones per month by June this year.
“We are now well advanced towards achieving our targeted throughput level of 10,000 tonnes per month following the introduction of the Sub Level Retreat Mining method at Sedibeng,” said company chief executive Jan Louw.
“We are also very pleased with the improved grades being achieved and the recovery of several exceptional and highly impressive stones from newly developed areas of the mine.”
