Chechnya becomes part of international diamond pipeline
Reports say that the opening ceremony at the factory was attended by Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic; Muslim Khuchiev, Chairman of the Chechen Republic Government; Semen Mashkautsan, Deputy Director of the Metallurgy and Materials Department at the Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Trade; Yulia Goncharenko, Deputy Director of the State Regulatory Office for Precious Metals and Gems at the Russian Federation Ministry of Finance; Sakariya Sunny Nagjibhai, Chairman of HVK International; and others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ramzan Kadyrov noted that the factory is equipped with the state-of-the-art machines from the world's leading equipment manufacturers and added that finished goods from this factory will be sold in the markets of several countries. “I am particularly pleased to note that the investment attractiveness of Chechnya is growing. This means that lasting peace reigns in the republic and there are great prospects,” he said.
According to Ramzan Kadyrov, the investments attracted to Chechnya in 2018 doubled compared with 2017 and the republic used them to implement 148 projects, which made it possible to create about 2,000 jobs.
Reports say that this Chechen diamond cutting business plans to establish an offshoot in Moscow.
