This week, St. Petersburg traditionally became the center of jewelry art because on February 5, the ceremonial opening of JUNWEX St. Petersburg 2025 - the XXXIII International Jewelry Industry Forum - took place at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition center.

This key industry event brought together more than 500 companies from Russia and abroad, including Israel, Turkey, China, and other countries.

The opening ceremony was started by Valery Budny, Head of the JUNWEX media holding, who warmly greeted and welcomed the audience and emphasized that the forum sets trends for the entire jewelry industry.

Alexander Chamovskikh, Head of the Ural Jewelers Guild, noted the growth in demand for jewelry items in January 2025, which instills hope and optimism in the jewelry industry’s players.

Kirill Dvoretsky, Deputy General Director of ExpoForum, called JUNWEX a benchmark project that sets a high standard for other events.

The key events were held in the first days of the forum, including a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Russian Jewelry Trade Club and the Association of the Guild of Jewelers of Russia where the strategies for overcoming new challenges were discussed, as well as a seminar on financial forecasts and changes in tax legislation, and a presentation on the support for the jewelry business.

During the business breakfast with a topic the Protection of Exclusive Rights for Jewelry Design, the experts discussed the legal aspects of protecting the intellectual property in the jewelry industry, including copyright for unique designs; and the ways to reduce the dependence on online platforms and develop own sales channels were discussed at the seminar Let’s Have Done with the Marketplace Dependence.

At the event called The Parade of Cases: The ways to Become Successful in the Competition with Federal Networks, the strategies were discussed, the marketing trends of 2025 were analysed and cases experienced by local brands were also discussed.

A workshop was held on How to Create Content Taking into Account the Areas of Concern of the Target Audience where practical pieces of advice on developing a content strategy focused on customer needs were discussed.

In addition, JUNWEX’s visitors had a chance to see the presentation of Yakutia’s jewelry art displayed by the Made in Yakutia association, as well as a fashion show held by students of the Carl Faberge College.

An award ceremony to celebrate the achievement of the leaders in jewelry production according to RIA RosYuvelirExpert also took place.

Collections of jewelry, watches, artistic weapons, and interior items are presented on an area of ​​18,000 sq. m.

The Grant company’s presentation was of particular interest accompanied with a demonstration of new technologies and jewelry items by one of the main market players, as well as the ALKOR company’s Mirror collection inspired by the ‘music of Baikal’, with jewelry designs looking like ice ridges.

According to forecasts, about 20,000 persons are expected to visit the exhibition in 5 days, including professional buyers and connoisseurs of jewelry art.

JUNWEX St. Petersburg 2025 confirms its status as the main platform for a dialogue between jewelry manufacturers, retailers and customers, combining traditions and innovations in the realm of jewelry.
