JUNWEX St. Petersburg 2025 Jewelry Industry Forum met its participants’ expectations

10 february 2025

JUNWEX St. Petersburg 2025 - the XXXIII International Jewelry Industry Forum, one of the most significant projects of the “Jewelry Russia” Unified Exhibition Program, has finished its work.

As diamond industry experts note, JUNWEX exhibition held in St. Petersburg showed that jewelry industry products are increasingly becoming the result of the interaction of science, technology, and art. Jewelry items by new companies, such as Cassiopea, were of great interest.

The best Russian jewelry manufacturers and companies from other countries traditionally presented their best achievements, including rare jewelry by premium brands (GEVORKYAN, Chamovskikh, Maxim Demidov, Ringo) and more budget-friendly jewelry items but in different lines; new original collections by Grant, Sokolov, Kabarovsky, Argenta, Russian Jeweler, Made in Yakutia, and Estet; stunning innovative jewelry collections, as well as youth and avant-garde jewelry offered by retail and wholesale companies. There were many noteworthy jewelry items with diamonds created in Kostroma and Yakutia, made of silver, amber and with (semi) precious stones, as well as watches, silverware, artistic weapons, accessories, and souvenirs.

According to some industry publications’ forecasts, jewelry sales are expected to grow by 30 percent by the end of 2024, but in the current 2025, there is a risk of significant decrease in the sales growth rate. Analysts think this may be due to high interest rates on deposits. The changes apply to both the Russian industry and the global industry as a whole due to the sanctions imposed against Russia’s diamond mining companies.

But in general, the expectations of the jewelry companies - their number has become smaller - are optimistic because the February edition of JUNWEX St. Petersburg that opened the jewelry industry season with its inherent brilliance (in every sense) met the expectations of the participants and was held in an atmosphere, as they say, ‘corresponding to the level of the cultural capital’ of Russia.
