
The Hong Kong International Jewellery Show (HKTDC), held in Hong Kong from March 4 to 8, is a major project that brings together industry representatives from 130 countries and regions, including mainland China and the Asia.
This exhibition of diamonds, gemstones and pearls, which annually attracts the attention of more than 60,000 professional buyers from different countries, is described as "a sparkling feast prepared with skill."
One of the main events of the Hong Kong exhibition is the International Jewellery Design Excellence Award (IJDE), one of the most prestigious jewellery design competitions nowadays.
This year, a jeweller from Russia was again recognized by the jury panel. The ring "Contemplation" by Maria Efimova, a designer from Yakutia and founder of the jewellery brand JEMAE (Moscow) was the best in the "Aesthetic Impression" nomination. In 2024, Maria became the winner of the Gokhran of Russia competition ("Jewellers. XXI century"), and in early 2025, she was among eight finalists from around the world in the International Jewellery Design Excellence Award 2025 - the International Prize for outstanding jewellery design of this year.
It should be mentioned that in different years, famous Russian jewellers became winners of the IJDE Award competition: Ilgiz Fazulzyanov (Ilgiz F. company), Viktor Moiseikin (MOISEIKIN company), Natalia and Tatyana Tarasov from St. Petersburg, Alina Ivanova (Cluev Jewellery House), Anna and Timofey Teplinsky (Almaz-Holding).
