De Beers, Raizcorp continue minting SA diamond beneficiators

21 april 2025

De Beers Group and business incubation company Raizcorp, are continuing with their programme of supporting and developing entrepreneurs in South Africa’s diamond industry.

The programme, which was first launched in 2016, supports entrepreneurs across the entire diamond value chain.

A third intake of the enterprise development project for diamond beneficiators was launched last week.

The four businesses that make up the 2025 cohort are Axel & Co., Shine Jewellery & Accessories, Elegânté, and House of Lemba Design.

Of these, 60% are women-owned and 80% are black-owned.

“The selected businesses share a passion for transforming precious metals and gemstones into jewellery of exceptional brilliance and beauty,” said De Beers.

It said the companies, which specialise in jewellery design, manufacture and repair, were selected from a pool of emerging enterprises.

De Beers said 10 diamond beneficiation companies benefitted from the programme since its inception.
