Goldman Sachs, one of the largest investment banks in the world, predicts that gold exchange prices could reach $3,700 per ounce by the end of 2025 and $4,000 per ounce by mid-2026.
In the event of a recession, an accelerated influx of funds into gold-backed ETFs could push the price of the yellow metal to $3,880 per ounce by the end of this year.
Goldman Sachs also predicts that under extreme risk scenarios, such as increased market concern about the independence of the U.S. Federal Reserve or changes in U.S. reserve policy, gold prices could potentially rise to $4,500 per ounce by the end of 2025, metal.com notes.
