As of the end of August 2025, London vaults held 8,831 tonnes of gold, a 0.38% drop from the previous month.
This gold is worth approximately $973.7 billion and is equivalent to about 706,506 gold bars.
The vaults also contained 24,646 tonnes of silver, an increase of 1.8% from the month before. This silver is valued at $30.7 billion, which translates to roughly 821,539 silver bars.
These figures highlight London's significant role in supporting the physical over-the-counter (OTC) market. The regular publication of these gold and silver holdings on the fifth business day of each month demonstrates a continued commitment to greater transparency and timely reporting.
