Canadian gold miner B2Gold has retained its overall production guidance for 2025 at 0.97 - 1.075 million ounces despite operational difficulties at its newly-commissioned Goose mine.
The company lowered its production guidance for the Goose mine to 80,000 - 110,000 ounces (120,000 - 150,000 ounces previously) due to the crushing plant capacity shortfall in the third quarter of 2025.
At the same time, B2Gold reiterated the near-term and long-term gold production estimates at 250,000 ounces in 2026, 330,000 ounces in 2027, and average annual gold production for the initial full six years of operations of approximately 300,000 ounces.
The Fekola project in Mali continued the strong operational performance exhibited in the first half of the year into the third quarter of 2025 and remains on track to output 515,000 - 550,000 ounces in 2025.
In Namibia, Otjikoto mine has exceeded expectations with 2025 guidance up to 185 000 - 205 000 ounces, against 165 000 - 185 000 ounces previously.
The Masbate mine, in the Philippines, continues to benefit from higher-than-expected throughput, leading to an upgraded guidance of 190 000 - 210 000 ounces for 2025.
