Cartier opens high jewelry exhibition in Beijing

14 november 2025

Parisian jewellery house Cartier has opened its high jewellery exhibition "En Équilibre" in Beijing. It marks the collection's debut in China following its debut in Stockholm.

The exhibition, held at the Aman Summer Palace in Beijing, features over 480 pieces, including new high jewelry creations, exquisite watches, and archival works from Cartier's historic collection.

The exhibition is divided into three thematic sections: "Fusion of Colors," "Geometric Rhythm," and "Light Composition." Each section explores the concept of balance—between hue and material, line and form, and light and movement. Among the highlights are seven new creations presented specifically for the Beijing edition.

The choice of the Aman Summer Palace—a location steeped in imperial heritage and architectural symmetry—adds architectural resonance to the concept of balance. The venue highlights Cartier's dialogue between heritage and innovation, concept and craftsmanship, according to the organizers.

At the exhibition, jewelry connoisseurs and admirers of fine watches will be able to trace the evolution of Cartier's design and appreciate its ambitious concept of high jewellery as a cultural artifact, not just a piece of jewelry. According to commentators, Beijing becomes the "perfect mirror" for the collection's duality – ancient and modern, precision and expressiveness.

As China remains a key growth region for luxury brands and experience-oriented products, the Cartier exhibition in Beijing demonstrates how renowned jewellery houses combine global heritage, compelling storytelling, and regional flair.
