A vivid yellow diamond ring belonging to actress Elizabeth Taylor is up for auction at Christie's New York with an estimated value of $120,000 to $180,000.
It was offered at Christie's New York in December 2011 with the same estimate. It sold for $962,500. The ring was part of the "Evil Taylor Jewels of the Year" collection, which fetched $116 million and broke the auction record for a single collection.
The 2.62-carat marquise-cut stone, with a VVS1 clarity, is set in a platinum Bulgari ring surrounded by pear-shaped, marquise-cut, and round white diamonds.
The ring was presented to the actress by singer Eddie Fisher, the fourth of her seven husbands, on her 30th birthday in 1962.
