Kavango Resources is evaluating strategic options for its mineral portfolio in Botswana's Kalahari Copper Belt (KCB), though the process remains at an early stage with no guarantee of a transaction.
The company holds a contiguous 6,200-square-kilometre licence position in the KCB, located along strike from major copper-silver mines operated by MMG (Khoemacau) and Sandfire Resources (Motheo).
Recent diamond drilling at its Karakubis prospect intersected copper mineralisation in all seven initial drill holes, with spot pXRF readings exceeding 1% copper and evidence of significant hydrothermal alteration. Regional geophysical and structural data indicate folding and contact zones consistent with major deposits found elsewhere in the belt.
It said the evaluation is preliminary and there is no certainty regarding the outcome, timing, or terms of any potential deal.
