Cloudbreak Discovery has identified multiple gold targets at its Darlot West gold project in Western Australia, following a high-resolution magnetic survey and geological interpretation. The project is located 10 kilometres southwest of the historic Darlot Gold Mine, which has produced 2.8 million ounces of gold.
The project shares a similar structural setting to the Darlot mine, with the key mineralising feature known as the Darlot/Centenary Sill interpreted to be present on the property.
The findings are supported by previously reported high-tenor rock chip samples and the recovery of gold nuggets.
Notable rock chip results exceeding 10 grams per tonne (g/t) gold include 65.75 g/t Au, 40.44 g/t Au and 27.23 g/t Au.
"The multiple new gold targets are a great outcome," said company managing director Tom Evans.
"This now gives us a clear path forward to develop this high-tenor gold project."
The company plans to expand its geochemical sampling programme over the project area to further refine targets and generate vectors for a maiden drill programme.
The Darlot West project is also situated 25 kilometres north of Northern Star's Thunderbox Gold Mine, which has an annual production of about 232,000 ounces.
