The SOKOLOV jewelry brand, in collaboration with the Renaissance Insurance Group, conducted a survey of 1,204 women in major Russian cities, which revealed that 41% of them own a collection of jewelry.
Out of those who possess several jewelry pieces, 62% said their collections are primarily made of gold, while 14% of respondents prefer silver jewelry, and a third choose accessories of any metal, exclusively with precious stones.
Meanwhile, 76% of survey participants who own jewelry collections have never assessed their value.
Among those who have an idea of the value of their jewelry, approximately 20% said it was around 100,000 rubles ($1300), 37% said their collection was worth 100,000 - 300,000 rubles ($1300 - $3900), 22% said it was worth 300,000 - 500,000 rubles ($3900 - $6500), and one out of six said it was worth over 500,000 rubles ($6500).
A third of those with jewelry collections believe the total value of all their jewelry has increased over time, 42% have not noticed any significant changes, and only 8% of respondents reported a decrease in value.
