Caledonia's deep drilling confirms Blanket Mine mineralisation at depth

07 april 2026

Caledonia Mining Corporation has reported that its deep drilling programme at the Blanket Mine in Zimbabwe continues to demonstrate the continuity of mineralisation at depth across multiple orebodies, providing growing confidence in the scale and quality of the resource below the mine's current lowest levels.

Company chief executive Mark Learmonth said the latest results reinforce the geological strength of the mine and show consistency of grades and widths.

"These outcomes support our longer-term planning efforts and highlight the value of the investments we have made, as we continue to improve mineral resource confidence and build a stronger foundation for the future of the mine and value creation for the business," he said.

As previously reported in June 2025, a new orebody termed Blanket 7 (BLK7) was intersected on multiple horizons.

The latest intersections highlight the excellent grades and widths that Blanket Mine can deliver.

Deep drilling at the Lima orebody has shown extension to at least the 34-level horizon.

The Lima orebody comprises up to six individual mineralised zones, not always developed together, with further infill drilling planned to delineate their spatial orientations.

The company noted that the density of drilling intersections is likely to upgrade inferred mineral resources to the indicated category or better, providing a solid resource base for life-of-mine planning.

Certain drill holes have intersected the BQR at depths below current orebody models, which mark the limit of measured, indicated or inferred resources currently declared.

The deep drilling results are expected to be incorporated into an updated mineral resource and mineral reserve statement during 2026.
