Among the notable stones on display at the event, held from April 21 to 23, are two fancy-color diamonds, which are being shown to the public for the first time.
A 1.07-carat, vivid pink cushion-cut diamond is valued at 56 million rubles ($749,000), while a 5-carat, rich yellow stone, also cushion-cut, is valued at over 20 million rubles ($267,000).
"The shows in St. Petersburg are part of a series of ALROSA events to develop the investment diamond market in Russia," the diamond mining company's press service explained.
The ALROSA Diamond Exclusive collection currently includes 300 rare diamonds, ranging from large whites to fancy-color stones. All possess high color and quality characteristics.
