Eastern Platinum has appointed David Li as its chief financial officer and corporate secretary, effective immediately.
Li brings over 20 years of global executive experience in the mining and manufacturing sectors across Canada, Asia, and the United States.
He has previously served as CFO and vice president for a number of mineral exploration, mine development and metal-producing companies, including Sumitomo Metal Mining Canada, Alderon Iron Ore Corp., Minco Gold, Minco Silver, and Selwyn Chihong Mining Ltd.
While serving as CFO for Sumitomo Metal Mining Canada, Li managed financial functions for the company's assets and investment in Canada, successfully supporting the construction and production of the Côté Gold project and completing several strategic investments in critical metals projects in Canada.
Li holds an MBA from Arizona State University's Thunderbird School of Global Management.
He is a chartered professional accountant in British Columbia and a certified public accountant in Illinois.
