Resolute Mining has expanded the Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate for its ABC Project in Côte d'Ivoire to 3 million ounces (Moz) of gold, marking a significant milestone in the project's development pathway.
The updated resource now stands at 133 million tonnes grading 0.71 g/t gold, up from 2.16 Moz, following more than 31,000 metres of drilling since the company acquired the asset in 2025.
It said the majority of the resource is within 250 metres of surface, with both Kona South and Kona Central remaining open along strike and at depth.
A $15-25 million work programme is planned over the next 12 to 18 months, including an 80,000-metre infill drilling campaign focused on converting Inferred resources to the Indicated category, alongside feasibility studies, environmental and social baseline work, metallurgical testwork and site infrastructure upgrades.
"ABC continues to advance as a priority growth project for Resolute in Côte d'Ivoire. The updated MRE shows the potential scale of ABC,” said company chief executive Chris Eger.
“Importantly, mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth at both deposits, and we see clear opportunities for further resource growth through ongoing drilling.”
Seven rigs are currently on site, with plans to increase to 11 rigs in August.
The company aims to advance ABC towards becoming its fourth mine in West Africa.
