An automated system for monitoring mining companies’ licenses will be launched in Russia from June 1, 2027, said Alexander Kozlov, head of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
According to him, the pilot of the automated system is now operational.
The system was developed as part of the general digitalization initiative by the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use (Rosnedra). The agency's specialists manually double-check the violations of the companies' licensing obligations detected by the system.
After full-scale launch on June 1, 2027, the system will compare planned indicators online with company reports and actual work performed. If mining companies fail to fulfil their licensing obligations, Rosnedra may revoke their permits.
