Northam Platinum, which has operations in South Africa, has posted record annual results for the year ended 30 June 2026, with sales revenue surging 64.1% to R54 billion ($3.35 billion) and operating profit jumping 293.8% to R14.2 billion ($879 million).
The board declared a record final gross cash dividend of 1,000.0 cents per share, amounting to approximately R4 billion ($248 million), bringing the total dividend for the year to 1,700.0 cents per share, or approximately R6.8 billion ($421 million) in aggregate.
The company achieved record total equivalent refined platinum group metal production from its own operations of 938,754 4E ounces, a 4.4% increase from the prior year.
Record chrome concentrate production rose 17.4% to 1.69 million tonnes.
Total metal sold increased 8% to 1.09 million 4E ounces.
Northam ended the year with a gross cash balance of R13.7 billion ($849 million) and net cash of R2.7 billion ($167 million).
