Mountain Province CFO resigns amid business relocation from Ontario to British Columbia

01 september 2026

Mountain Province Diamonds has announced a departure of its CFO, Steven Thomas, as it completed the corporate relocation from Ontario to British Columbia, per shareholders’ decision from late June.

Thomas stepped down on September 1, 2026, to pursue other opportunities, but he will support the company in an advisory role through the transition process.

"Steve has made a significant contribution to Mountain Province over the past four years and has helped guide the company through a period of considerable change and challenge. He has been a highly professional and dedicated member of the leadership team," said Mountain Province chairman Jonathan Comerford.

Meanwhile, the company has received all regulatory approvals required under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario) and the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia) to relocate its corporate interests to a different region of Canada.

The move from Ontario to British Columbia was completed on August 19, 2026. A corresponding decision was made by Mountain Province shareholders on June 30, 2026.
