CIBJO has launched the official website for its 2012 congress, which will take place in Vicenza, Italy, May 17-20, 2012. Congress participants are invited to register online for the event, as well as to make hotel bookings, according to press release e-mailed to Rough&Polished.

In addition to online registration forms, the CIBJO Congress 2012 website provides information about the event, including a programme schedule.
The annual CIBJO Congresses serves as the official gathering place for the World Jewellery Confederation's Assembly of Delegates, and also the venue for the annual meetings of CIBJO's sectors and commissions, where amendments can be introduced to the organization's definitive directories of international industry standards for diamonds, coloured stones, pearls, gem labs and precious metals, known as the Blue Books. The CIBJO Congress is also where the programme of World Jewellery Confederation Education Foundation (WJCEF) and the CIBJO's ongoing cooperation with the United Nations is reported upon.
Hosting the CIBJO Congress 2012 is Fiera di Vicenza, one of the world's most important trade fair companies and organiser of the annual VICENZAORO Winter, VICENZAORO Spring, VICENZAORO Fall, VICENZAORO Italian Club at Las Vegas, VICENZAORO About J and T-Gold trade shows.
The CIBJO Congress 2012 will be an anchor event of the World Jewellery Forum, which will take place in Vicenza from May 13 to May 23. The World Jewellery Forum will close with the with the VicenzaOro Spring jewellery show. Delegates to the CIBJO Congress will be eligible to attend all World Jewellery Forum events.
