The Russian Government has put forward eight candidates to the Supervisory Board of OAO ALROSA, one of the largest diamond mining companies in the world, including Denis Morozov, the representative of the Russian Federation on the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as it follows from the government order posted on the website of the Russian Government on Monday. The news was reported by RIA Novosti.
The agency says, that the pool of candidates will also include some of the current members of the Supervisory Board, among them Fyodor Andreev, President of ALROSA; Sergey Barsukov, Director of Financial Policy Department at the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation; Anatoly Tikhonov, Deputy Chairman of Vnesheconombank; Yakov Urinson, Deputy Chairman of OAO Rosnano; and Ilya Yuzhanov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ALROSA.
Sergei Dubinin, Member of the Board of Directors of VTB Capital, and Pavel Borodin, Vice President of OAO VimpelCom, who is not a member of the Supervisory Board of ALROSA, are slated as independent directors of the Russian diamond miner.
