Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. reports that progress has been reached at the Gahcho Kue Diamond Project, a Joint Venture with De Beers in Canada’s Northern Territories.
Following the receipt on January of information requests under the Environmental Impact Review, De Beers has advised that they are on track to provide responses to the review by the end of the month, Israelidiamond.co.il reported.
The Gahcho Kue Project consists of a cluster of four diamondiferous kimberlites, three of which have an estimated mineral reserve of 31.3 million tonnes grading 1.57 carats per tonne for total diamond content of 49 million carats.
According to the company, the Project is one of the world’s largest new diamond developments, with an IRR of 33.9%.
