Jewellery Discount Store Opened in Moscow

Managing company 585 engaged in development of “585” and “Zolotoj” jewellery retail chains on 19 April 2012 launched a discount store “585 Gold Discount” located on Arbat street in Moscow, Russian Jewellery Network reported citing Retailer.ru.
This is the first object of this format for the managing company as most of merchandise is offered at the store with discounts of up to 70%. At present time the shop operates in testing mode. The store has total selling area of 154.5 square meters and offers range of goods totaling about 10,000 stock-keeping units.
According to a statement by Chief of Production Development division Alexander Tarasov, more products are offered with discounts at 585 Gold Discount, compared to the similar rate in “585” retail chain. “Approximately 20% of merchandise to be offered with discount while usually merely 7-10% are subject to sale at other jewellery stores,” – Tarasov noted. “The company has drafted further development plans for “585 Gold Discount,” including, among others shift to around the clock work mode.”
Viktor Volsky, Retail Director at Sunlight Brilliant retail chain noted that none of the retailers operating at the Russian market, have worked in such format before. “Actually there are not so many players engaged in the segment in Moscow, therefore the new format will be popular among consumers,” – Volsky said.
