Dubai and Gujarat Sign Bilateral Diamonds and Textiles Trade MOU

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) recently consolidated their bilateral trade ties through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed during a recently concluded trip to Surat by the Dubai Chamber Trade Mission, IDEX Online reported.
Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair, chairman of the Dubai Chamber, who led the delegation of 11 Dubai businessmen, and Rohit Mehta, president of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, signed the MoU, which emphasizes the promotion of bilateral trade between Dubai and Surat, especially for diamonds and textiles.
Besides consolidating economic relations between Dubai and Surat, the agreement sets the framework for the development of joint ventures and technology transfers and investment, exchange of trade enquiries and delegations.
Al Ghurair said Dubai's cooperation with Surat in the area of diamonds was particularly important.
