Moscow Jewellery Factory to Open 10 New Stores in 2012

18 may 2012

One of the leaders of the Russian jewellery industry, Moscow Jewellery Factory intends to launch ten new jewellery stores in street-retail segment, in Moscow till the end of 2012. The first of the above stores, having area of 57 square meters, will be opened at the end of May on Noviy Arbat street, in the centre of Moscow. Launch of the second, 100-square meters store – to be located on Pyatnitskaya street – is scheduled at the beginning of June, Russian Jewellery Network reported. Magazin magazinov company in partnership with CBRE appears as broker in both transactions.
Launch of new retail locations will strengthen the company’s position in street retail segment, as currently 38 of 45 Moscow-based stores of Moscow Jewellery Factory are located in shopping malls. Retail network of Moscow Jewellery Factory in Russia features over 200 locations in 90 cities.
“Moscow Jewellery Factory focuses on leasing relatively small retail space at the best locations – in close proximity to underground stations, involving high passage capacity, - which can characterize general requirements to locations of such type of retailers,” – noted Irina Smirnova, a consultant at Magazin magazinov company in partnership with CBRE. “Jewellery stores in segment of affordable price range are developing rapidly, therefore we can observe high demand on locations compliant with the above needs.”
