Yesterday one of the main Russian jewellery shows kicked off at the largest exhibition complex VDNKH in Moscow.
The official start of JUNWEX New Russian Style coincided with anniversary of Karl Faberge, celebrated by all jewellers.
Organizers of the show have scheduled comprehensive business program including roundtable discussions, seminars on management in jewellery business, developments in gemology.
One of essential points under discussion is a new sphere of cooperation between Russia and Italy, namely opening of Macef-Russian exhibition.
The new project is to be implemented under the auspices of New Russian Style with special attention to interests of the Russian audience, and based on Italian culture of jewellery design.
FIERA MILANO fair Marketing Director Felice Invernizzi was invited as a special guest to the opening of JUNWEX New Russian Style where special reception and lunch was organized for Italian delegation.
Viktor Obrezumov, Deputy Head of Assay Chamber of Russia, was addressing the guests at the opening ceremony. He stated the following: “From the earliest times, for 500 years, Russia has seen jewellery business and assay control conjoined. The base for assay control was put by Peter the Great. Nowadays functions of the state jewellery control include not merely state interests but also protection of consumers and manufacturers of jewellery. In recent decades global jewellery market has suffered dramatic changes and quantities of jewellery items subject to marking have jumped 4 times which indicates presence of capacious jewellery market in Russia. I would also like to note that our domestic industry proved its resilience in crisis times while jewellery sector of the other countries suffered a lot of difficulties and challenges. I hope jewellery business will further grow and develop in Russia and yield in production of jewellery of high quality.”
Jewellery Show New Russian Style featured awarding ceremony of the Russian leading jewellery manufacturers following the results of 2011. CEO of RosYuvelirExpert news agency Olga Mironova was handing in diplomas to representatives of the best industry players.
