Diamcor Mining has completed the vast majority of construction and the installation of site infrastructure at its Krone-Endora at Venetia diamond project, in South Africa, paving way for the commissioning of a new 200 tonne per hour modular processing plant.
The junior diamond mining company said in a statement posted on its website that the commissioning and testing of this purpose built plant would be completed over the coming weeks.
This, it said, would include the processing of the remainder of ore concentrate material secured as part of the property's acquisition from De Beers.
It would also process new material that was recently mined and stockpiled, as well as conduct further testing to achieve new diamond valuation estimates.
Meanwhile, Diamcor said it had plans to focus on achieving targeted production through trial-mining exercises so as to improve production for sale to its partner Tiffany & Co.
"The completion of the site infrastructure, and the installation of our new processing plant, are yet another example of our team's ability to execute on our business plan," said company chief executive Dean Taylor.
