UBM Sets Singapore Jewelry & Gem Fair for Oct. 2013

UBM Asia created a Singapore Jewellery & Gem Fair, which will be held in about one year from now - October 12 to 15, 2013 at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, Rapaport reported. This fair will host exhibitors of diamonds, pearls, precious and semi-precious gemstones, fine jewelry and silver jewelry and be able to tap into UBM Asia's database and promotional resources, according to the group.
This new show is a complementary addition to UBM Asia's global portfolio of 12 jewelry events that are held in Hong Kong, Mainland China, India, Japan and Turkey, including the world's largest jewelry fair, the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.
''We are excited to have the support from Singapore Jewellers Association, Diamond Exchange of Singapore and their associated company, Singapore International Jewellery Pte. Ltd., for the creation of another industry-leading exhibition for our jewelry portfolio,'' said Jime Essink, the president of UBM Asia. ''We believe this collaboration will enhance and expand new business opportunities for the industry in Singapore and the southeast Asia region.''
