Titan Industries Ltd. has appointed Vikram Kapur, principal secretary of Tamil Nadu state’s industries department, as its chairman and a director on the board of the company, Rapaport reports. He succeeded N. Sundaradevan.
Titan, a lifestyle and jewelry company owned by Tata Group, is scheduled to announce its second fiscal quarter results on October 31, 2012.
The company sells its jewelry under Tanishq, Goldplus and Zoya brands, while its eyewear brands include Titan, Eye+ and Dash. It sells watches under the Titan, Xylys, Sonata and Fastrack brands and also has a precision engineering division.
The company had a network of 847 stores across its watch, jewelry and eyewear product divisions at the end of June 30, 2012.
