The Russian government charged Ministry of Industry and Commerce with issuing general licenses for exports of rough diamonds in 2013 to a total of six companies, including OJSC AK ALROSA, Siberian news agency reported citing the appropriate order released in data bank for federal legislation.
Separate licenses for rough diamond exports will be granted to three subsidiaries of AK ALROSA, namely OJSC ALROSA-Nyurba, OJSC Almazy Anabara and OJSC Severalmaz.
More over, licenses will be issued to OJSC Nizhne-Lenskoye (100% owned by Republic Yakutia represented by its Ministry of Property Relations) and FSUE Almazyuvelirexport Export association, which conducts exports of control lots of natural diamonds sold by the above-stated companies through Almazyuvelirexport.
In 2011 and 2012 the same companies were holding licenses for rough exports, along with CJSC Uralalmaz affiliated with group of companies owned by Israeli businessman Lev Leviev.
