With every sale comes a feeling of new hope, renewed enthusiasm and excitement. This season, Black Friday weekend and Thanksgiving Day sales were those days to bring in some excitement, Diamond World reported in Weekly E-Post. The National Retail Federation (NRF) pronounced that the number of consumers visiting the stores and retailer websites, for purchases rose this year over last year, and that Thanksgiving day saw the largest increase of any day, up 23 per cent (on y-o-y basis), with over 35 million shoppers. According to the NRF findings, 15.2 per cent of buyers chose jewellery as gifts this year up from 13.8 per cent in the same weekend last year.
It is not easy relating to buyer sentiments without adjusting to their behaviour and needs. The retailers this year tapped well into this by offering discounts, promotions and a strong online presence. Online shopping saw preference this year and an increase from last year’s 35.2 per cent to 43.8 per cent this year.
It is exciting that the holiday season has brought in some fresh hope, with buyers making an effort to increase sales with innovative techniques. This in turn has encouraged manufacturers to indulge in what they love the most – manufacturing diamonds and jewellery, together adding to the season’s cheer.
