Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif unveiled Gitanjali Group’s new ecommerce initiative, Gitanjalishop.com, to bring the integrated jewelry manufacturer’s brands together on a single platform, Rapaport reported.
“We have always strived to offer consumers new and innovative retail solutions to enhance ease and convenience,” said Mehul Choksi, the chairman of Gitanjali Group. “Many of our newer channels use contemporary technology, and in the ecommerce sphere too, we have always endeavored to be at the forefront of change. Gitanjalishop.com is our latest step in that direction."
Gitanjali's jewelry brands include Gili, Nakshatra, Asmi, D’Damas, Sangini and Diya in India. Kaif is the brand ambassador of Nakshatra diamond jewelry brand.
The company stated that more than 2,000 designs and 25 brands of diamond jewelry, fashion jewelry, gold jewelry, international watches, gold coins and spiritual artifacts will be available on the website.
Gautam Sinha, the chief operating officer of Times Internet, said that the online shop offers products at prices ranging from INR 1,000 to more than INR 110,000.
The company stated that new website features multiple images of each product and detailed descriptions, female model shots wearing the jewelry, images of guarantee cards along with the products and options to in installments, among other things.
