Jersey Jewelry Store Jacked For $100,000 In Diamonds

06 november 2013

A jewelry retailer in a township in New Jersey was conned by a team of thieves, who stole more than $100,000 worth of polished diamonds from the store last week, CBS News reports cited by Israelidiamond.co.il. Robert Tindall, the owner of Tindall Diamonds and Jewelry in Robbinsville, New Jersey, said that an attractive woman who posed as a potential customer distracted him enough to allow her partners in crime to make off with the precious stones.
According to Tindall, one man first entered the store and asked to see some loose diamonds, and ten minutes later, another couple walked in and engaged him at the other end of the counter. Tindall noted that both the first man and the couple had a similar accent, which led him to wonder if they were a group. But the woman wore tight-fitting clothing which accented her shape, Tindal says, and this may have caused him to lower his guard.  Soon after, the first person leaned over the counter and removed a box of diamonds, and the three made a quit exit, speeding away in a black Audi with Pennsylvania license plates, according to CBS News.
