HRD Antwerp, being a service-provider to the diamond industry since 1976, announced availability of a new certificate: the Laboratory Grown (or synthetic) Diamond Certificate.
Although laboratory grown diamonds currently still represent a rather small market segment, their production however is significantly on the rise.
As HRD Antwerp’s major priority is to defend consumer confidence, the availability of the new laboratory grown diamond certification service is fully in line with HRD Antwerp’s policy to provide objective, consistent and reliable consumer information.
The diamond market witnessed the appearance of the first "gem quality” lab grown diamonds towards the end of the 80s.
