At the beginning of July construction of "Medyn gold" jewellery plant worth 1.5 billion rubles was launched on the territory of Medyn district of Kaluga Region, according to a statement by deputy head of the local administration Olga Kurilyuk cited by Probpalata.ru.
"Initially it is presumed that Turkish jewelers will customize jewellery production at the new enterprise, while the company will employ about 200 people,” - she said. – “We intend to manufacture jewellery of gold, silver and platinum.”
The figures of forecasted production volumes were not announced.
Construction of the plant is to be completed in December, the start of mass production being scheduled for March-April 2015.
