The first new residential buildings in 30 years have been commissioned in Norilsk, TASS reports citing the press service of the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai (Territory) Mikhail Kotyukov.

As part of the comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of Norilsk until 2035, new housing and social facilities are being built, and the communal infrastructure is being updated.

The plan envisages investments in the amount of 120.1 billion rubles, of which 24 billion rubles are federal budget funds, 14.8 billion rubles are consolidated budget funds of Krasnoyarsk Krai, and 81.3 billion rubles are Norilsk Nickel funds.

Nornickel is constructing four apartment buildings in the Central District of the city, which will be completed this year.

"We are opening the doors of new buildings and changing the appearance of Norilsk. This transformation will continue - the next apartment buildings are next in line. In addition to housing, social facilities are being built in Norilsk,” noted Norilsk Nickel Vice President Sergei Tkachenko.
