24 august 2022
A two-day workshop on the development of industrial tourism was held at the Norilsk Development Agency (ARN).
Its participants were representatives of 17 enterprises interested in organizing industrial excursions, as well as guides and heads of tour operators of the tourist and recreational cluster "Arctic".
"Industrial tourism helps to increase the investment attractiveness of territories, allows enterprises to demonstrate their achievements and debunk myths around the domestic industry, and also makes it possible to attract new categories of tourists," said Sergey Ryzhov, CEO of MICE Market.
In turn, Maxim Mironov, director of the ARN, said that acquaintance with the work of the industrial giant beyond the Arctic Circle – Norilsk Nickel - is of interest not only to tourists coming to Norilsk, but also to local residents.
The program of the workshop provides for a visiting session in Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk, Zlatoust and Moscow.
The result of the training should be developed industrial excursions to local enterprises. Approximately in November, the tours can be launched in test mode, and in the future – for everyone, sgnorilsk.ru reports.
