Business house project and Arctic startup beyond the Arctic Circle

25 august 2022
The Business House project for young entrepreneurs under 25 is to be launched from late September. The organizer is Monchegorsk Development Agency, according to NIA-Krasnoyarsk.
The city of Monchegorsk is in the Murmansk Province. This is a small single-industry city beyond the Arctic Circle where Nornickel happens to be the major employer. At the same time, the city offers attractive conditions for other investors: winners of the Governor's Startup Competition are entitled to receive 1,000,000 rubles and up to 1,000,000 rubles can be obtained for a franchise business.
The Business House reality show starts in September.
“We invite high school students and undergraduates to participate in the reality show. A camera crew will arrive from Moscow. The whole action will take place in our creative space. There are already about fifty applicants, and after the selection we will choose 20 people and divide them into teams. The participants will perform various assignments, all of which will be related to business. Each team will lose one participant after every stage of the show. And by the end of the show, we will have left one or two winners, who, thanks to the stages they have passed, will form their vision of a business and learn how to develop business plans,” said Alexander Polenkov, head of Business and Investments at the Monchegorsk Development Agency.
