The International Arctic Forum to bring together more than 400 speakers in St. Petersburg

The International Forum "Arctic: Present and Future" on December 8-9 in St. Petersburg will bring together more than 400 specialized speakers within 54 thematic sessions. The main topics will be the state policy of the Russian Federation in the Arctic and the development of human capital in the region, the press service of the interregional Association of Polar Explorers told TASS.
The main focus of the business program of the XII Forum will be on adapting to the new economic conditions associated with the imposition of sanctions against Russia and Russian companies, searching for ways to develop international public and scientific dialogue in the Arctic, as well as on attracting all subjects of the Russian Federation to the implementation of Arctic projects.
Experts from all over Russia will discuss the development of transport arteries and infrastructure in the Arctic, programs for the development of communication systems in the region, ways to develop the resource base and attract investment in Arctic projects.
Special attention will be paid to the social development and support of youth in the Arctic regions of Russia, scientific research, the formation of a comfortable urban environment and the preservation of the cultural heritage of the northern indigenous peoples.
The event is organized by the interregional public organization "Association of Polar Explorers" with the support and participation of both chambers of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, the State Commission for the Development of the Arctic, the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic and other relevant ministries and departments. The general partner of the forum will be PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel.
