The modernization of the largest wind farm in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation has been completed in Chukotka, RusCable.ru writes with reference to the telegram channel of the head of the region Roman Kopin.
"An investment project has been completed to modernize the wind farm at Cape Observatory, the largest in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. An important step in the development of renewable energy in the north," he wrote.
Kopin specified that after the work carried out, you should increase energy production to 3 kW/hour per year, which saves 320,000  cubic meters of gas or almost 800 tons of coal.
The share of clean energy facilities in Chukotka has now exceeded 35% of the total number of energy sources.
