In accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic and the government of the Arkhangelsk region in Pomorie, it is planned to create a second territory in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, where a special legal regime for business activities will be established, the press service of the government of the region reported.
Representatives of the delegation of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation have already met with one of the potential residents of the future territory of advanced development, who intends to implement a project for the production and transportation of liquefied natural gas. At the same time, the influx of investments into the region will allow the development of transport and logistics infrastructure and mining.
A pool of potential residents has already been formed, and the initial investment volume is 61 billion rubles.
Another important topic for the Arkhangelsk region is the organization of northern delivery to remote areas. The delivery of fuel, foodstuffs and medicines is provided by road, river, sea and air transport. 
The Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation has already agreed with the northern regions on the draft federal law "On Northern importation" and is currently preparing to submit it to the Government of the Russian Federation for consideration.
