Yenisei records

28 november 2022

(dp.ru) - During the navigation along the Yenisei, which lasted from May to October of this year, rivermen set their own record: the Yenisei River Shipping Company transported about 3.7 million tons of cargo, which is 32% more than last season. And all this against a record low water level - such a low filling of the Siberian river basin has not been observed since 1936.

Nornickel accounted for the largest increase in cargo traffic - more than 2.7 million tons of cargo were transported in the interests of its divisions, which is 1 million tons more than last year's navigation.

The growth driver was large investment projects of the corporation. First of all, we are talking about the Sulfur Program, the purpose of which is to reduce pollutant emissions in the Norilsk industrial region through the technical re-equipment of production. In addition, significant consignments were transported for the needs of renovation of Norilsk and renovation of Nornickel's industrial facilities.
