Digital ecosystem "Ice Navigator" to be launched on the Northern Sea Route
"Ice Navigator" is a complex of hardware and software that will provide crews of ships, planes and helicopters with up-to-date data on the weather and ice conditions in the Russian Arctic.
According to the Sever Press news agency, navigators will be placed on the sides of icebreakers and northern aviation. The received data will be sent to the unified platform of digital services of the Northern Sea Route.
A total of 3.8 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of this infrastructure in 2023-24. It is planned that the Arctic project will be launched in 2025.
