Andrey Grachev, Vice President of Norilsk Nickel, tells the participants of the Clean Country forum about the company's work in the field of technological and environmental safety

03 march 2023
(NIA-KRASNOYARSK) - On March 1-3, the 4th International Forum-Exhibition "Clean Country" is being held in Skolkovo Technopark in Moscow.
The organizer of the most important event in support of the national Ecology Project is the Clean Country Association with the participation of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.
Andrey Grachev, Norilsk Nickel Vice President for Federal and Regional Programs, takes part in the forum.
Together with representatives of business and government, he discussed the issue of technological and environmental safety, as well as the steps that need to be taken to achieve it.
Speaking at the plenary session “Looking into the Future”, he spoke about the work of Norilsk Nickel in this field. Thus, in 2022, the need for personnel at the production facilities of the Norilsk division amounted to 10 000 people. To provide the branch with employees, the company is actively developing cooperation with the N.M. Fedorovsky Polar State University. In addition, employees are trained under the program of additional professional education at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology.
“Our needs are constantly growing, because the company is moving forward, the territory is developing steadily. Almost all staffing needs are dictated by Norilsk Nickel's objectives. For example, in the territory of the Norilsk region there are about 50 facilities under construction and commissioning. We cannot talk about some excess of labor force - we, of course, need qualified people,” said Andrey Grachev.
