Norilsk Nickel completed accepting applications for the World of Taimyr competition

Norilsk Nickel has completed accepting applications for the World of Taimyr competition, the company's press service reported.
The event is designed to support local initiatives and create conditions for the sustainable development of the territories of traditional residence of the indigenous peoples of Taimyr.
Sixteen of the received applications were sent by family communities, six more by representatives of non-profit organizations, the remaining 20 came from state and municipal institutions of Taimyr. Applications are currently undergoing technical examination.
The competition is held in four nominations, among which the nomination "Ideas of Taimyr" is the leader in terms of the number of applications. This year, for the first time, a separate nomination was allocated for representatives of non-governmental organizations of indigenous peoples "Opportunities of Taimyr".
The results of the competition to be announced on March 31, and the awarding of the winners will take place in April - during the celebration of the Reindeer Herder's Day on the territory of Taimyr. 
From June 1, the winners of the competition will start implementing their projects.
