The Conference on Bioresources and Fisheries in the Arctic to be held in May in Arkhangelsk
"The Arctic zone is a strategically important territory of the Russian Federation. The research and development of Arctic water reserves, the development of the infrastructure of the fisheries complex of the region, as well as the training of professional personnel are topical issues that require a comprehensive and coordinated solution," the message reads.
The conference will become a platform for dialogue between representatives of government, science and business. They will have to develop effective mechanisms on which the development of the Arctic region and the preservation of its ecosystem depend.
The event will be opened by the plenary session "Aquatic biological resources. Fishing and conservation of stocks in the Arctic".
